Morning swimming at Svendborg Marina

For those who wake up early, you have the opportunity to take a morning swim in beautiful Svendborgsund. The beach is a 5-minute walk from the hotel. It is a sandy beach, located close to Svendborg Marina and it is about 700 meters to the beach from Hotel Ærø.

Walking and running routes in Svendborg

If you are the type of jogger or want a nice walk along Svendborgsund, you will be given a map of a beautiful route from Hotel Ærø to Christiansminde beach.

The route offers a trip along Svendborg harbor and ends at Christiansminde beach where you can walk via a path system with forest on one side and Svendborgsund on the other. At Christiansminde beach there is the possibility of swimming and there is also a bathing jetty that you can use.

FAQ Active Holidays

Where can I rent bikes and find bike routes?

Svendborg Cykeludlejning is located at Frederiksø 18F (right across from the hotel). At the reception you will find cycling routes over Tåsinge, Thurø and along the south Funen coast.

The Ærø ferry is located right in front of the hotel – tickets can be purchased from the machine at the ferry berth or at svendborghavn.dk. The ferries to Hjortø, Skarø and Drejø depart a few steps from the hotel. Tickets to Skarø/Drejø (M/F Højestene) should be booked in advance at svendborghavn.dk.

Hotel Ærø's restaurant will be closed from Friday, December 20, 2024 at 3:00 PM to Friday, January 17, 2025 at 11:30 AM.

Overnight accommodation is offered during this period, however without breakfast.
