Historic Hotel Ærø is located in the middle of historic Svendborg. The hotel has been idyllically located in the middle of the harbor since 1889, where both sailors and shipowners stopped by to quench their thirst. Our hotel is full of history.

In the interior design, we were inspired by the English colonial style with beautiful wooden headboards, heavy curtains, fine wallpapers and soft carpets.

Some of our hotel rooms have a view of Svendborg harbor – others have a view from the balcony to our cozy courtyard. Here, the geraniums are in full bloom most of the year, and the cozy atmosphere invites you to have a glass of cool white wine at one of the small tables when the sun shines over the city.

Hotel Ærø's restaurant will be closed from Friday, December 20, 2024 at 3:00 PM to Friday, January 17, 2025 at 11:30 AM.
Overnight accommodation is offered during this period, however without breakfast.
