Terms of sale

Hotel Ærø reserves the right to pre-authorize your credit/debit card prior to arrival.

When you make a reservation via our website:, we ask for a guarantee with your credit card or payment at the time of booking if you have chosen this form of payment. The first name and last name must match the guest's ID card and credit card, which must be presented upon request at check-in. You can see cancellation and payment conditions on the current offer when ordering. This also appears in the confirmation, which is sent by email after a booking has been made.

Payment is made in DKK:

All prices are total prices incl. VAT.


Conditions for changing and canceling a reservation:

Reservations made on the hotel's own website can be changed or cancelled. In case of change or cancellation, reservations are made for any price changes. The reservation cannot be moved to another hotel. Upon cancellation, you will receive a confirmation of cancellation to the provided email address. This confirmation is a guarantee that the room is cancelled. For hotel stays/accommodation booked via a third party or via online travel agencies, the relevant party must be contacted directly.


Reservations without the possibility of cancellation:

If you have made a non-refundable booking, the reservation must be paid in advance and cannot be refunded. Changes can only be made by contacting the hotel directly either by email: or phone: +456221 0760. In case of change, a fee of DKK 300 per reservation per time the date changes. We also point out that changes in date, number of nights, number of people, etc. May lead to a change in the price per night. Reservations are made for sold-out days and/or room categories when changing the date or length of the stay. Any price reduction in the stay in the event of a change is not refunded. Reservations can be changed up to 12 months from the originally booked date.


Reservations with the possibility of cancellation:

All reservations that include accommodation with or without breakfast can be changed and/or canceled without extra fees or costs until 12:00 on the day of arrival. Change or cancellation after 12:00 on the day of arrival will result in the first night of the stay being charged. Reservations are booked as a stay with pension (e.g. weekend stays or golf stays can be canceled before 12 noon the day before the day of arrival).

We point out that changes in date, number of nights, number of people or the like. May lead to a change in the price per night. Reservations are made for sold-out days and/or room categories when changing the reservation.

In case of no-show, the provided credit card number will be debited according to the cancellation conditions for the reservation in question.


Check in and check out

The room is available from 15:00 on the day of arrival and until 11:00 on the day of departure. If the departure time is not observed, the hotel reserves the right to charge you for the room price for an extra night according to current list prices.

If check-in is not made on the arrival date, your right to use the room on the remaining nights you have booked is waived. If you wish to make use of the reservation after the original arrival date, it is your own responsibility to contact the hotel no later than the date of the originally planned check-in. This must be done in writing via email and applies to all reservation types.



The prices on the website apply to individual bookings up to a maximum of 9 rooms in total. If 10 or more rooms are reserved for the same period, the hotel will regard it as a group, which will result in a change in prices and general conditions including, among other things, cancellation and payment conditions. The hotel will send a group contract for signature to confirm the bookings.


Guests under 18 years of age

Guests under the age of 18 must always be accompanied by an adult when staying at the hotel.


Card fee

Please be aware that in connection with payment with certain credit cards, credit card fees may be charged.
